Alive in Christ funds enhance Catholic education at St. Thomas Aquinas

St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School used Alive in Christ funds to install new technology in every classroom.In large and small ways, the Alive In Christ campaign is supporting Catholic education throughout the Diocese.
 
According to Maura Cox, principal of St. Thomas Aquinas in St. Cloud, her parish school used Alive In Christ funds for new technology, including new computers, handheld Flip video cameras and interactive whiteboards.
 
"The one thing that we know about the future that our students enter is that they will be required to have critical thinking and technology integration skills for whatever career path that they choose," Cox said ...

Expansion of St. Vincent de Paul to benefit needy

St. Timothy parishioners restock the food pantry in the recently expanded St. Vincent de Paul Society buildingWith anywhere from 30 to 50 clients per day and only 400 square feet of space to provide financial assistance and food pantry services, the St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Timothy Parish in Lady Lake designated the expansion of the society's building as a top priority for the parish's Alive In Christ campaign.

Vivos Christi inductees leave legacy in spirit of St. Thérèse
Members of the Vivos Christi Society, who have made a provision for the Church in their wills, have found a way to let their life's work carry on after they are gone. Patricia Schloot, who was inducted into the Vivos Christi Society by Bishop Noonan on September 27, will be providing for Morning Star Catholic School, the only school in the Diocese for developmentally disabled students.
